IrriCure™ Irrigation Surfactant improves water penetration for better irrigation efficiency. As water costs increase and availability decreases, the need for water conservation becomes more important. The use of IrriCure speeds infiltration and aids in reducing runoff, while promoting quicker soil surface dry-down.
IrriCure changes the performance of water by reducing the surface tension and allowing faster and deeper soil penetration. Irrigation water treated with IrriCure becomes less cohesive and better able to penetrate thatch and disperse more evenly into the soil. When used regularly, soil maintains water receptiveness for subsequent rain and irrigation.
Product Benefits
- Improves irrigation efficiency and soil drainage more
When injected into irrigation systems, IrriCure will reduce the surface tension of irrigation water, resulting in improved infiltration rates, better irrigation efficiency, and helping maintain moisture levels necessary for plant health. Regular use of IrriCure will allow reduced irrigation times and provide water savings while improving the soil’s drainage capacity.
- Reduces puddling more
By improving the soil infiltration rate, puddling is reduced after both rain and irrigation by enabling faster water penetration while reducing runoff.
- Improves speed of wetting more
Irrigation surfactants are gauged by the speed of penetration through hydrophobic soil when mixed with water. Research showed that Irricure in solution moves through hydrophobic soils at approximately twice the speed of competitive products tested using the accepted straw test.
- Better dispersion when applied through irrigation more
When IrriCure is applied through irrigation systems, the high volume of water improves the surfactant dispersion which in turn helps the chemistry typically to attach to more particle surfaces than when applied through a spray tank. This enables maximum effectiveness at minimal cost.
- Penetrates soil organic matter more
When compared to other irrigation products, IrriCure maintains a distinct advantage in its ability to penetrate soil organic matter. Even at low, label rates, IrriCure will help reduce the hydrophobic barrier caused by dry, organic material and enable water to help hydrate and penetrate these surfaces.
- Low viscosity — easy to inject more
IrriCure is a 21% active concentration which provides low viscosity for easy tank mixing or injection into irrigation systems.
- Non-phytotoxic more
IrriCure is non-phytotoxic and compatible with most commonly used turf chemicals.
